    Proposals & design features

The project included a complete replan of the internal space with the kitchen and bathroom relocated together with a redesigned staircase and entrance to improve the flow of the building. The garage was partially converted to provide a utility space connected both to the kitchen and the garden. The roof and dormer facings were replaced with slate and larch timber cladding giving the property a contemporary aesthetic sympathetic to the locality.

    The Project

Shape Design took the project from the measured survey stage through to obtaining the necessary approvals such as planning and building regulations and produced the required drawings along the way together with submission of relevant applications. We worked closely with the Planning department, Building Control, the Structural Engineer and the main Contractor in order to come up with solutions acceptable to all parties involved.

I would like to thank you for all the work you did on our behalf. Very happy with the house, we wouldn't change a thing.

Thank you so much Mark you’ve been brilliant
